Blackworm

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Blackworm is a very dangerous email worm. It's known by other names as well; CME-24, Grew.a, Grew.b, Blackmal.e Mywife.d, Tearec.a, Nyxem.e and Nyxem.d  are all copies of Blackworm.
Blackworm spreads through malicious email attachments and infected executable files. Once this worm infects a computer it sends itself to all the email addresses found on the infected machine. Blackworm also creates malicious files on shared folders to ensure it infects as many computers as possible. It deletes common files such as MS Word documents, MS Excel spreadsheets and many others once in a month.
Remove Blackworm as soon as possible.  Blackworm shuts down processes related to security programs. It’s also capable of removing essential files of most common anti-virus software.

SpyOnThis is a dangerous malware but you can find its trial version available to download on web. SpyOnThis advertisements claim it can remove spyware, but SpyOnThis is a computer parasite and it’s definitely not a security tool.
Once installed SpyOnThis urges to buy full version by launching tons of pop-ups and fabricated scan reports. Do not trust this tool! Full version of SpyOnThis is not capable of locating and removing parasites as well as the free version. If you pay for SpyOnThis, you only lose your money. Furthermore, it may download additional malware on a computer, so you should remove SpyOnThis as soon as possible.

WebSpyShield is another fraudulent project. It uses the same tactics as many rouge anti spyware tools. WebSpyShield is advertised as legitimate spyware remover with free download of trial version. Avoid downloading this demo version as it won’t work as anti spyware. Furthermore, it demands to purchase the full version of WebSpyShield by displaying annoying pop-ups and fabricated error reports.
WebSpyShield is a malware, it’s not an anti spyware tool. WebSpyShield can be difficult to uninstall once it gets on your computer. If you’ve downloaded this program, use WebSpyShield removal.

Do not download nor buy MessengerBlocker! It’s a corrupt tool known for deceptive advertising tactics. It’s presented as pop-up blocker, but it’s not capable of blocking pup-ups. MessengerBlocker is a part of scam: it urges to pay for full version of this software to see how it works, but it won’t work after you pay.
Remove MessengerBlocker as soon as possible. It can be complicated to delete this rouge tool manually as MessengerBlocker tends to prevent its removal, but it can be removed by anti spyware.

Do not trust unknown security tools! Of course software developing companies present new programs all the time, but you should be suspicious every time you see a download of tool that is advertised as magical solution for every security issue. When in doubts that software you are interested in might be a scam, check if it’s on corrupt anti spyware list.
PerformanceOptimizer is one of the rogue anti spyware tools. If you have this software on your computer, use PerformanceOptimizer removal to get rid of it. PerformanceOptimizer is a malware. It displays false scan reports in order to gain a purchase. If you don’t buy Performance Optimizer, it keeps displaying annoying pop-ups.
