Antivirus 8

Antivirus 8 is another malicious rogue antispyware program that is distributed to computer systems by Trojan viruses. The program uses some nasty tricks in order to make you believe it’s a legitimate antispyware program. Once the application enters a targeted system, it makes some changes in its Windows Registry. These modifications enable Antivirus 8 to perform every single action that was planned by its creators.

The program runs its fake scanner and reports about a bunch of infections supposedly detected on the system. It is very likely that in reality your system is completely clear as Antivirus 8 doesn’t display real infections. Later it tells you to purchase a full version of the program in order to remove malicious files.

Another typical symptom for rogue programs is displaying fake security alerts and pop up ads warning about system infections. These messages redirect you to the website promoting Antivirus 8 where you are gain offered to purchase its license.

As soon as you detect any of such symptoms, please remove Antivirus 8 from your computer as soon as possible. Then run a full system scan with a reputable antispyware program.
