Check Disk

Check Disk is a fake computer optimization program that infiltrates into computer systems through Trojan viruses. The program works typically to all rogue programs. It’s is configured to start automatically when computer is started and later on simulates all functions of legitimate system optimization programs.

CheckDisk blocks most of the programs on your computer and instead launches its own application. It imitates system scan and warns about finding tons of errors there. In order to fix those errors the program offers purchasing its full version claiming that only a licensed program is able to remove infections.

The program displays tons of fake security notifications saying that your system requires registry defragmentation. It may also report about hard drive problems or RAM issues. Check Disk also causes fake security notifications coming out from the Windows task bar, for example:

Critical Error!
Damaged hard drive clusters detected. Private data is at risk.

Critical Error
Hard Drive not found. Missing hard drive.

Critical Error
RAM memory usage is critically high. RAM memory failure.

Critical Error
Windows can’t find hard disk space. Hard drive error

Ignore these messages just like the scan results or any other messages offering purchasing Check Disk. It’s a fake application that you should avoid having it in your system. You are strongly advised to remove CheckDisk once you found it on your system. If you have already paid for it, contact your credit card company as soon as possible and dispute the charges.
