Digital Protection

Digital Protection is a rogue antispyware application which is distributed through Trojan viruses. The program doesn’t require the authorization of the user to be downloaded and installed. Right after Digital Protection is enters the system it attempts to uninstall your legitimate antivirus program. The programs that might be uninstalled include NOD32, F-Secure, AVG8, Malwarebytes’ Antimalware, Norton Internet Security, etc.

The program generates a list of supposedly detected infections and tells you to remove them by purchasing a full version of a program. In fact, these files may be your legitimate programs and removing them may cause improper operation of your Windows. So don’t believe a word Digital Protection tells you.

Fake system scanner is not the only method Digital Protection uses in order to convince computer users into purchasing its program. Additionally, the program generates fake security notifications about some viruses detected on your computer. These messages also warn about the possibility of your private data to be revealed to hackers.
