Personal Protector

Personal Protector is a rogue anti-spyware software that display false and exaggerated results as a way to scare the user of the compromised computer into buying the so-called “full” version of the program. The rogue program is advertised through the use of advertisements that pretends to be online scanners that state that your computer is infected or not running as good as it should. Fake online scanner then prompts you to download and install Personal Protector to remove the infections or to solve security related problems. However, those scanners are fake and are used only to scare you. Do not trust such websites and leave them immediately.

Once installed, Personal Protector will be configured to automatically start when you logon into Windows. While running, the rogue program will scan your computer and list a variety of infections  that can not be removed unless you decide to purchase the it. The reported infections, though, are all fake and are only being shown to scare you into purchasing the software. Personal Protector is installed, you may also find that your computer runs slower or that certain system tools are disables or blocked. The same can be said about anti-virus software or security related websites. As you can see, PersonalProtector is a scam that must be removed without doubts upon detection.
