Windows Firewall Unit


Windows Firewall Unit is a rogue antivirus program that spreads with a help of a Trojan virus. It’s a rogue program that only pretends to look for infections but in fact it is completely useless. Windows Firewall Unit uses fake Microsoft Security Essentials alert to infiltrate into the system.  As soon as the program is installed it will be configured to start automatically when computer boots up. It pretends to look for infections and basically looks like a legitimate security tool. The difference is that it only imitates looking for infections but is not able to find anything. Instead of displaying validate scan results the program lists random files of your legitimate programs which are completely harmless and/or some non-existent files. For this reason you shouldn’t do anything about these files as they do not pose any risk to your computer. The only serious problem is Windows Firewall Unit itself.

Additionally to fake scan performance, the program disturbs by displaying fake security notifications and pop up ads saying that you must exterminate malicious programs in order to improve your system’s performance. Undoubtedly they redirect you to the website where you can make a payment for Windows Firewall Unit.

Please do not fall for this kind of tricks and instead remove Windows Firewall Unit as soon as possible. In case you have already paid for it, do not hesitate to contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.
