XJR Antivirus


XJR Antivirus is a rogue application that imitates a security tool but in fact is another malware. It’s a rogue antispyware program that belongs to the same family of rogues as Your PC Protector. XJR Antivirus is installed to the systems through Trojan viruses without any knowledge or permission of the user.

The Trojan not only installs XJR Antivirus but also creates a bunch of files which are later displayed as infections. Beware that in reality they are harmless. When XRJ Antivirus scans computer for infections, it will show these files in a list of threats and insist removing them as soon as possible. The program will ask you to make a payment for its full version in order to perform removal of infections.

When computer logs in to Windows, XJR Antivirus launches its executable C:\Program Files\svchost.exe which then starts XJR Antivirus.exe. Then the program takes all control of your system. if you only terminate XJR Antivirus.exe it will be started again by the first executable. That’s why to remove this infection you must stop both processes.

While XJR Antivirus is running on your system, it will also generate fake security alerts and warning that some malicious programs are trying to steal your private data. You must not trust them either.

You have to uninstall XJR Antivirus as soon as you notice it running on your computer. If you have made a payment for it, contact your credit card company and dispute the charges as soon as possible.
